Check your essay against this list:

I wrote an introduction that clearly identified the position

The body of my essay examined each branch of the argument, stepping the reader through the argument one branch at a time, working from the top of the branch to the bottom

My conclusion reminded the reader of the position

I signposted throughout to tell my reader where the argument was going

I used indicator words to flag whether claims are positions, reasons or objections

I included basis box information in my essay

I reflected copremise structures in my essay prose

I reported my argument evaluations and told my reader why I had assessed the bases, claims, reasons, objections and position in the way I did
